ATM Card is a convenient way to get cash directly from your Savings or Current Account. The Debit Card can be used across India for withdrawals, deposits or balance enquiries at participating ATMs and for e-commerce and point-of-sale transactions.
Do's and Don'ts of ATM Transactions
Do's
- Conduct ATM transactions in complete privacy and never let anyone see your PIN.
- Ensure the welcome screen is displayed after completing the transaction.
- Keep your registered mobile number updated for transaction alerts.
- Look for suspicious people or devices attached to the ATM.
- Report a lost or stolen card and unauthorised transactions immediately.
- Check transaction SMS alerts and bank statements regularly.
- If cash is not dispensed, check the debit SMS and report the transaction to the bank.
- Block a lost card through Mobile Banking or call 020-24280050 / 24282005.
Don'ts
- Do not write the PIN on the card.
- Do not take help from strangers or hand over your card.
- Do not disclose the PIN, including to bank employees or family members.
- Do not allow the card to go out of sight during payment.
- Avoid speaking on a mobile phone while transacting.
